Journal International was founded in Munich in 1990 by Gerd Giesler, Christian Schwalbach and Stefan Endrös. It specialised in high-class corporate publishing concepts, and is regarded as one of the co-founders of this segment in Germany.

Over the course of more than 25 years, the publisher assumed a leading role in Germany and internationally through the conception and creation of multilingual magazines in the luxury segment.

In order to better meet the demands in the areas of content marketing on the one hand, and customer loyalty services on the other, Journal International was divided into two independent divisions in 2016.

Journal International – The Home of Content, headed by Stefan Endrös and Gerd Giesler, is and remains a leading specialist for customer magazines and content marketing in the online and offline sphere.

Journal International Experience GmbH, led by Christian Schwalbach and Michael Klotz, focuses on managing national and international customer loyalty and customer acquisition programmes as well as on other activities such as delivering the global magazines and website for American Express Centurion and Platinum card holders.
